The 2005 George K. Walker Moot Court Competition will be held on Wednesday, April 13, beginning at 4:00 pm in the Law School Courtroom, Room 1312.
The panel of judges for the final round are The Honorable Sidney Eagles, former Chief Judge of the North Carolina Court of Appeals; The Honorable Denise Hartsfield, Forsyth County District Court Judge; and Julie Theall, a partner at Smith Moore whose specialty is employment law.
For many years, the Wake Forest Moot Court Board has conducted a moot court competition for first-year law students. In 1998, the Moot Court Board named this competition the George K. Walker Moot Court Competition in honor of Professor Walker’s long-standing support of the Wake Forest moot court programs. This year, 98 first-year students competed in this competition.
We hope you will attend the final competition and join the judges and finalists at a reception after the final arguments.
