Professor Tim Davis has been selected by the third-year class to be honored with the SBA’s "Excellence in Teaching Award." This award recognizes the outstanding classroom teaching skills of selected faculty members.
Professor Davis joined the Wake Forest faculty in 1998. Four years later he became one of the Law School’s endowed professors being named the John W. and Ruth H. Turnage Professor.
Davis teaches and writes about contracts and sports law. He is the co-author of two anthologies on sports law and on race and the law. He is also a co-author of "The Business of Sports Agents" and "Sports Law and Regulation: Cases, Materials and Problems." Davis serves on the Review Board for the United States Anti-Doping Agency, the Board of Advisors for the National Sports Law Institute, the Contracts Drafting Committee of the National Conference of Bar Examiners, and is a member of the Sports Lawyers Association.
