Robert K. Walsh, Dean of the Wake Forest Law School since 1989, is being honored in his last year as Dean with gifts from alumni, faculty, and friends to create an endowed scholarship in his name. In fact, this entire academic year has been designated the Robert K. Walsh Scholarship Year. At the Dean’s request, gifts to the law school in his honor will be used for scholarships, the number one fundraising priority during his tenure.
The newly created Bob and Kathie Walsh Endowed Scholarship was launched by a group of alumni who wanted to create a lasting tribute to the Dean. With their help, dozens of gifts have been made in an effort to thank Dean Walsh for his leadership. His accolades include leading the law school through a major transition that resulted in the hiring of more than half of the current faculty and securing national recognition for Wake Forest Law School.
The Robert K. Walsh Scholarship Year provides an opportunity for alumni, faculty and friends to honor the dedication, service and achievements of the Dean who served the School of Law for 18 years.
