Wake Forest University School of Law is reporting a significant increase in its number of applications for admissions to begin law school in the fall of 2009.
As of June 15, 2009, total applications to WFU Law are up 19 percent compared with the prior year. Applications to law schools are up just 6 percent on average nationwide.
“I’d say that the increase in applications comes from the appeal of the small-school environment, the appeal of this region of the country and our new clinical offerings,” says Ann Gibbs, associate dean for Administrative and Student Services.
