Catherine Jones, general counsel of Virgin Mobile Latin America, will meet with Wake Forest law students on Thursday, Sept. 20, from 1 p.m.-3 p.m. in the Law Boardroom, Room 1124.
Catherine Jones (BA, ’97) is General Counsel of Virgin Mobile Latin America, a start-up mobile virtual network operator who is expanding throughout Latin America. Jones was previously Associate General Counsel with Kerzner International, a leading hotel developer and manager including Atlantis and the One&Only brands of hotels.
Prior to her position at Kerzner, Jones was a corporate associate at Greenberg Traurig in Fort Lauderdale where she represented private equity firms and represented a number of SPACs in their initial offerings. Jones started her career at Shearman & Sterling in New York where she specialized in capital markets offerings, particularly in Latin America and represented a number of issuers in their IPOs and other financings, including project finance. Jones has a JD from University of Michigan Law School and a bachelor’s degree from Wake Forest University in Politics and Spanish.
