Name: Denzell Moton (MSL ’15)

Undergraduate school and major: I attended The College of Charleston, a mid-size liberal arts institution in historic downtown Charleston, S.C. I majored in business administration with a concentration in leadership, responsibility and social change.

Why I chose the Wake Forest Master of Studies in Law (MSL) program: I chose the MSL program due to my strong desire to obtain a legal background and to pursue my legal interest. I felt that my undergraduate background in business combined with the MSL degree would make me an excellent candidate to enter the workforce in several different markets.

Plans for after graduation: As a result of a strong passion for athletics and being exposed to the legal aspects involved with sports, I will pursue a career with a professional sports league, the NCAA head office or NCAA Division I university. After learning about the various ways the law intersects with sports, I feel that there are plenty of opportunities to enter this market.

How do you hope your experience at Wake Forest Law will benefit and bring legal understanding to your career? I believe that with the legal education obtained from Wake Forest Law, I will perform well in an ever-changing workforce.

Most memorable moment at Wake Forest: So far, it’s attending the Sweet Honey in the Rock concert in Wait Chapel hosted by the Wake Forest University Department of Music.

Hobbies: I thoroughly enjoy music, whether it be listening to oldies or singing covers of current hits. I have found that both cleaning and studying is a lot less burdensome when you have music.
