Professor Timothy Davis co-authors new book entitled ‘Sports Law: Governance and Regulation’

Professor Tim Davis is one the country’s best known sports law scholars.

Professor Timothy Davis has recently written a book titled, “Sports Law: Governance and Regulation.

The book iss published by Aspen College and co-authored by Matthew J. Mitten, Kenneth L. Shropshire, Barbara Osborne and Rodney K. Smith. It looks at different career choices in sports law and specifically at two categories: professional and amateur sports. It also addresses different law topics such as torts, agency, professional issues of contracts, labor/employment law, intellectual property rights and more, in addition to highlighting key legal vocabulary terms and including end-of-chapter questions to help students assess their skill level.

Professor Tim Davis is one the country’s best known sports law scholars. He has co-authored a casebook on sports law, and co-authored “The Business of Sports Agents,” published by the University of Pennsylvania Press. He frequently presents papers and lectures at academic conferences and continuing legal education seminars.
