Andrew Kilpinen (JD ’16) to clerk for Chief Judge Brendan L. Shannon of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware

Andrew Kilpinen (JD ‘ 16) has accepted a judicial clerkship with Chief Judge Brendan L. Shannon of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware. Kilpinen’s clerkship will begin after graduation.

Kilpinen is the Business Editor of the Law Review and they will be publishing one of his articles in its next edition. He currently externs with Chief Judge Gale of the North Carolina Business Court and serves as Professor Alan Palmiter’s teaching Assistant for Energy Law. Kilpinen also participates in the Litigation Clinic.

After graduation, Kilinen was invited to return to Perkins Coie after his hard work during his summer externship. He plans to return to the firm after completion of his clerkship.

This clerkship was Kilpinen’s first choice as he plans to pursue a career in bankruptcy law.
