Professor John Korzen spoke to more than 100 attorneys in Cary, North Carolina, on September 30, at a North Carolina Bar Association CLE.
Professor Korzen’s topic was “How to Write a Persuasive Statement of Facts.” He also submitted a nearly 10,000 word manuscript and a power point on the topic. Professor Korzen was one of the speakers at a full-day CLE entitled, “Tips for the Trade: How to Make Your Appeals More Appealing.” Professor Korzen has been certified as a specialist in appellate practice by the North Carolina State Bar Board of Legal Specialization since 2011, the first year that specialists in appellate practice were recognized in North Carolina. There are currently thirty-one certified specialists in appellate practice in the state.
