Former Associate Dean and Library Director Marian F. Parker (JD ’78) remembered

A graveside memorial service celebrating the life of former Wake Forest Law Associate Dean Marian F. Parker (JD ’78) will be held at 11 a.m. March 17, 2017, at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Greensboro, North Carolina.  Details can be found on the Hanes Lineberry Funeral Home website.

Professor Parker, 69, retired associate dean for Information Services, director of the Professional Center Library and professor of law, died on March 9.

Professor Parker was a long-time member of the Wake Forest Law community. After earning her bachelor’s of arts from the University of North Carolina-Greensboro in 1975, her law degree from Wake Forest in 1978 and her master’s degree in library and information science  (MSLS) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC) in 1979, Parker worked in higher education for more than 35 years at Wake Forest and other prestigious colleges and universities. She began working at Wake Forest in 1999 and retired in 2010.
