Professor Mark Hall, director of the law school’s Health Law and Policy Program, is quoted in the following story, “U.S. House ACA reform may turn up heat on N.C. Medicaid expansion,” written by Richard Craver and published in the Winston-Salem Journal and the Greensboro News and Record on March 8, 2017.
An excerpt follows:
Mark Hall, a law professor at Wake Forest University who is a national expert on health care, has issued a report in which he determined it made sense economically for North Carolina to expand its Medicaid program.
“The bill has to cross a number of significant legislative hurdles before it can be enacted, and substantial changes are likely during that process,” Hall said.
“I don’t expect to see any new initiative from North Carolina until we know what the final version looks like.”
