Professor Andrew Verstein to be featured speaker at Yale Center Beijing discussion

Wake Forest Law Professor Andrew Verstein will travel to Beijing, China, to be a featured speaker in Yale Center Beijing’s discussion, “Financial Innovation and Regulation,” on Friday, Aug. 25, 2017.

The discussion, which begins at 7 p.m. at the center and is followed by a Q&A, concentrates on what is happening now in derivatives, futures and securities law.

Professor Verstein joins fellow speaker and Yale Law Professor Nancy Liao, executive director of Yale Law’s Corporate Law Center.  They will discuss recent events and emerging trends in the aforementioned fields, as well as address topics like High Frequency Trading and Spoofing, Blockchain and Coin Offerings, Recent CFTC initiatives and Fintech.

Professor Verstein graduated from Yale Law and has previously taught at Yale Law, Fudan University and East China University of Political Science & Law in Shanghai, China.  He teaches contract law, corporate law and securities and commodities regulation, and often is quoted in the Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg and other outlets on such topics.
