1L Trial Team wins 2018 Kilpatrick Townsend Mock Trial Competition second year in a row

Graphi image of Kilpatrick Townsend logoFor the second year in a row, members of Wake Forest School of Law’s 1L Trial Team — Melissa Malone, Scott Harvey, Rachel Boyd, KC Ohanu and Agustin Martinez — beat out all the other teams from North Carolina law schools to win the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC)’s 2018 Kilpatrick Townsend 1L Mock Trial Competition held Jan. 19-21, 2018.

Malone also won the award for Best Advocate.

“As you can imagine, we are extremely happy that we were able to beat out some very tough competition from all the law schools in North Carolina,” Martinez wrote in an email. ” It was truly a team effort.”

1L Trial Team wins 2017 Kilpatrick Townsend Mock Trial Competition

Members of Wake Forest Law’s 1L Trial Team — Virginia Stanton, Tim Day, Ashley Collette, Stephanie Johnson and Ashley DiMuzio — beat out 33 other teams from North Carolina law schools to win the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC)’s 2017 Kilpatrick Townsend 1L Mock Trial Competition held Jan. 19-21, 2017.

“We competed in five rounds over two days to bring the trophy home to Wake Forest Law,” DiMuzio explained.
