Law professors to participate in ‘Studying Race and Human Community’ panels on Tuesday, Feb. 23

Professors Jonathan Cardi, Gregory Parks, Wendy Parker, Luellen Curry, Abigail Perdue, Kami Simmons, Richard Schneider and Wilson Parker will participate in “Studying Race and Human Community: Current Curricula Opportunities in the Humanities” panel discussions. The panels will be held from 7-7:25 p.m. and  7:35-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 23, in the Worrell Professional Center, Room 1310. Summer pre-law program provides law school ‘test-drive’ for undergraduates

Wake Forest Law will once again offer a Summer Pre-law Program for undergraduates taught by Law Professors Wilson Parker and Chris Coughlin, and Communication Professors Jarrod Atchison and John Llewellyn.The program consists of two courses that will be taught in the law school but will qualify for credit from the undergraduate college: “Legal Theory, Practice, and Communication” (Communication 370D) and “Advocacy, Debate, and the Law” (Communication 370E). Professor co-authors book to help college students avoid legal troubles

In a study conducted by the University of Missouri, 69 percent of college students who used false identification to purchase alcohol had borrowed an actual ID from a relative or a friend rather than purchased a forgery.  As college students in North Carolina head to classes this fall, they may not realize that using the real ID of another person is a felony in this state.  Or that there are a host of laws they may be unaware that they are breaking, which could have life-altering affects on their futures.
