Watch ‘Last Class with Professor Charley Rose’ and ‘Fab Five’ retirement celebration

Wake Forest School of Law alumni returned in droves on April 20, 2018, to help recognize and honor the 188 combined years of service of retiring Professors Miles FoyRalph PeeplesCharley Rose, George Walker, and Dean Emeritus Bob Walsh.

The “Last Class with Professor Rose” was held in Worrell Professional Center in the morning and a panel discussion with the “Fab Five” professors, with the exception of Professor Walker, was held in the afternoon in Farrell Hall followed by a reception in Worrell.  Those unable to attend either or both events can watch the recordings of “The Last Class” and the “Fab 5,” moderated by Dean Suzanne Reynolds (JD ’77).

Pro Bono Project establishes Family Preparedness Project

Bilingual Wake Forest Law students volunteered in the Family Preparedness Project, a new initiative led by the Pro Bono Project that seeks to provide durable powers of attorney for individuals in North Carolina who may be at risk of deportation. Student coordinators, Emily Scotton (JD ’18) and Vanessa Garrido (JD ’18), organized client appointments at the Downtown Health Plaza in Winston-Salem over the course of four evenings in April.
