Professor Steve Nickles tells WGHP he predicts N.C. ban on gay marriage will be overturned

Voters in Virginia, like those in North Carolina, passed a constitutional amendment that banned same-sex marriage. However, in July, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit (which includes both Virginia and North Carolina) overturned Virginia’s law, claiming it was unconstitutional to place gender restrictions on marriage.
