Memorial service for longtime N.C. Bar Association Executive Director Allan B. Head (BA ’66, JD ’69) set for Feb. 20

Allan B. Head (BA ’66, JD ’69), who devoted 43 years of service to the North Carolina Bar Association (NCBA) and the North Carolina Bar Foundation, died on Friday, Feb. 16, 2018, at the age of 73. He joined the staff of the NCBA/NCBF as executive secretary on Dec. 1, 1973, and served as executive director from 1981 until his retirement on Dec. 31, 2016, according to an e-mail sent out by the NCBA.

A memorial service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 20, at White Memorial Presbyterian Church, 1704 Oberlin Road, Raleigh. The family will receive friends at the church following the service. A second service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 21, at Enterprise Baptist Church, 404 Enterprise Road, in Littleton, North Carolina.
