NCBA recognizes four Wake Forest Law alumni with 2018 Citizen Lawyer Awards

Four Wake Forest Law alumni are among the 11th class of Citizen Lawyer Award recipients who were recognized at the 2018 North Carolina Bar Association (NCBA) Annual Meeting held June 21-24 at the Wilmington Convention Center. Presentation of the awards took place on Thursday, June 21, at the new Annual Meeting Awards Dinner.

Three alumni among NCBA 2017 Citizen Lawyer Award recipients to be honored in June

Ray Bretzmann (BA ’71, JD ’74), Robert Ramseur (BA ’92, JD ’95) and Susan Harman-Scott (JD ‘86) of Manteo are among those who will receive Citizen Lawyer Awards on Friday, June 23, recently received the North Carolina Bar Association Citizen Lawyer Award. Bretzmann and Ramseur are two of 12 lawyers among the 10th class of Citizen Lawyer Award recipients who will be recognized at the 2017 NCBA Annual Meeting scheduled June 22-25, 2017, at The Omni Grove Park Inn in Asheville for exemplary public service to their communities. Bretzmann serves on the board of multiple community organizations and owns his own practice in High Point, North Carolina. Ramseur is the Partner/Chair of the Real Estate Department at Ragsdale Liggett in Raleigh, North Carolina. Harman-Scott has her firm, Susan Harman-Scott, Attorney at Law, in Manteo. Three Wake Forest Law alumni receive Citizen Lawyer Awards from North Carolina Bar Association

A number of Wake Forest Law alumni, including the Honorable Richard L. Doughton (JD ’71), Marc L. Isaacson (JD ’82) and James R. Van Camp (JD ’65), received awards at the 118th Annual Meeting of the North Carolina Bar Association (NCBA) on June 24, 2016.  The annual meeting consisted of various award ceremonies, candidate forums, receptions, legal education programs and more from June 23-26 in Charlotte.
