Organizers of the Public Interest Law Organization (PILO) raised $710 at its annual chili cook-off held Wednesday, Nov. 18. The funds raised will go toward 2016 PILO grants to help fund unpaid public interest-related summer internships. Students, faculty and staff sampled nearly 20 varieties of chili during lunch and voted for their favorites.
“Thank you to all of our participants for entering some great chilis this year,” said Emily Jeske (JD ’17), PILO member and one of the event organizers. “This event would not have been nearly so successful without all of your creative and tasty recipes. A huge thanks to everyone who came out and supported PILO at our first fundraiser of the year! We hope that you all had a great time.”
