The Pro Bono Project has announced its incoming executive board members for the 2017-18 academic year.
Current Pro Bono Project Executive Director Sarah Saint (JD ’17) says, “Please join me in congratulating the exceptional students who have been selected to serve as the next directorial board for the Pro Bono Project.”
Applications for specific coordinator positions — Community Outreach Coordinators, Strategic Communications Coordinators, Student Outreach Coordinators and Project Coordinators — will be extended to all 1LS and 2LS in the coming week.
Pro Bono Project students, alumni to help coastal North Carolina Habitat for Humanity clients over Spring Break 2017

Wake Forest Law students involved in the Pro Bono Project are going to bring their Pro Humanitate spirit to help North Carolina coastal residents over Spring Break 2017, according to Executive Director Sarah Saint (JD ’17).
Under the direction of supervising attorneys, who also happen to be Wake Forest Law alumni, students will conduct a Wills and Advance Directives Clinic at the Brunswick County Habitat for Humanity on March 3-7.
“I cannot encourage you enough to take a few days out of your Spring Break to give back,” Saint wrote in an email to students. “This is a great experience if you have any interest in drafting documents, elder law, poverty law, estate planning, health care law, or just love pro bono.”
After 35 years with Legal Aid of North Carolina, Hazel Mack joins Wake Forest Law as interim director of outreach

Hazel Mack has spent the past 35 years helping others through her work with Legal Aid of North Carolina (LANC). And despite her recent retirement, Mack finds herself continuing to help others as Wake Forest Law’s new interim director of outreach.
